Release Day Launch and Review: Strong Enough by M. Leighton

Strong Enough
Author: M. Leighton
Release Date: August 4th. 2015

Summary:

Is she strong enough to trust the most dangerous man she’s ever met? And is he strong enough to let her?

How would I describe myself? Well, I’m Muse Harper. I’m a twenty-something painter who loves red wine, quirky movies, and men with a fatal flaw. But that was before I met Jasper King. He became my fatal flaw. Eight months ago, I had a choice to make—abandon everything I’ve ever known to protect my family, or stay and risk someone getting hurt. I chose the former. My plan was working just fine until I found out my father had gone missing.

That’s when I met Jasper. A bounty hunter with the eyes of a tiger and the nose of a bloodhound, he was supposed to help me find my father. What I didn’t know was that meeting him was no accident. Hunting people isn’t all that Jasper does. And helping me was only part of his plan. I just wish I’d found out sooner, before my heart got involved. But even then, I don’t know if I’d have done things differently.

Now, I have another choice to make—trust the man that I’m falling in love with and hope that he’ll do the right thing, or run as far away from him as I can get.

Review:

ARC provided for an honest review

I had the honor of reading another book from M. Leighton. I am pleased to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. I honestly don’t think there are any books that I don’t enjoy from her.  M. Leighton knows how to draw you in right from the start and I love that about her books. I’m always quickly thrown into a world of awesomeness as soon as I open the book.

Muse Harper is our female lead and she is naïve which did grate on my teeth alittle bit, but I still enjoyed her. She has made so many sacrifices for someone whom she cherishes so much that when he goes missing, all bets are off. She goes above and beyond to hire a bounty hunter to help her find the answers to problems. That’s where Jasper King comes in.

Jasper is dark and secluded. He very rarely answered questions that Muse asked. I thoroughly enjoyed that. I liked that everything from his past wasn’t thrown out there in the matter of three chapters. It allowed us to see the growth that Jasper makes. You can tell from when you first meet him that he has a secret; that there is something that he is hiding.

As the story progressed, the chemistry between Muse and Jasper grew and grew. Jasper was absolutely dirty… is a very VERY good way! He had the whole package, muscles, tattoos, and a dirty mouth (hehe). Each scene was an amazing build up to the next mind-blowing scene. Jasper starts to feel guilty for double crossing Muse, but he knows he has to in order to achieve the outcome he is looking for.

As everything starts to slowly unfold, we get to meet the other boys in the Tall, Dark, and Dangerous series. We don’t get to see much of them but they showed the type of dynamics that the whole team has together. I am eagerly waiting for the next two installments of this series.

I loved this book. It was another brilliant book by M. Leighton. With all the twists and turns within this story, you’ll be left breathless and guessing what is going to happen next. I loved the suspense and the mystery within this story. Whenever you thought you knew the answer something led you in a different direction. You won’t be disappointed in this book.
